Loving Drizzt and his adventures, can't wait to start on the next. This was just plain fun to lose yourself in.

A vast improvement to The Crystal Shard, in my opinion. I enjoyed learning more about a character other than Drizzt. Drizzt is a great character, but it's nice to learn about the background and motivation of the people around him, as well. The quest they were on was definitely filled with action, too. Action that seemed much less random that the occurrnces in The Crystal Shard. You can tell the author's writing ability is developing still and there's room for him to get to the next level. Still, a fun and entertaining read!

I didn't enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed the first in the series, but I did like it in the end. The big set piece toward the end was pretty solid, and I liked spending more time with Drizzt, Bruenor, and Wulfgar in particular.
