Eione, daughter of the Lapith Lord Macareus, goes hunting a lot, not exactly behaviour her family condones. But when she shoots what she thinks is an animal she is in for a bit of shock!! She has shot Agrius, one of the Centaur royals! Their kinds have never been friends but they are not technically at war any more so she decides to save him. 

Agrius risks everything by venturing onto Lapith territory. But he feels the reward outweighs the risk. His brother is slipping slowly into madness after the loss of his mate and the spring water can save him. 

When Eione learns her family have decided to sell her off as wife to the highest bidder, she decides to take back her life and runs. But the only place she thinks she'll be safe is the lands belonging to the Lord she just shot! 

I'm loving this series. It calls to my nerdy, mythology living inner self! I have a soft spot for these hot, half man/half horse hotties!! They like feisty females and Eione is certainly one of those! I love that she cares for her people and risks her fathers wrath to make life a bit easier for them. Agrius may act all gruff but he is a total sweetheart underneath, just wanting to make his brothers suffering a bit easier! There are bit that lap over with Earth Borne, so it's like seeing different sides of the same action!

Oreius is suffering at the loss of his mate. When his brother undertakes a mission into Lapith lands to gain him a magical cure, Oreius isn't exactly grateful! He waits sometime and then just throws the bottle to the ground. Then like a genie from a bottle, a female appears on the lawn where the water landed. but this isn't any female, she is a Nymph.

Nysa is a well nymph and had happily helped many with their aches, pains and woes. but she had been trapped by an evil Lapith and he had been abusing her powers for his own ends. When she had been taken from her well in the waters in the flask she thought she was finally freed. But Oreius is refusing her help and she only has so long she can survive away from her waters.

This series is a perfect blend of mystery, mythology and romance! Nymphs are unable to refuse the advances of a male, even if they are unwanted advances. Oreius has been celibate for a decade, ever since his mate died so you know that when these two get together there are going to be fireworks!!!! I loved seeing the other Centaurs and their mates popping into the story and the continuing fight against the Lapiths who are giving the centaurs no end of battles!

Masterful Lord of Thessaly
Hector may be the heir to King Cheiron but he has a problem with his flighty wife! He has responsibilities and a war looming on the horizon but his wife Delia appears to be cheating on him - she certainly never seems to be there when he needs her. But when he decides he has had enough of her lies and follows her, he gets waaaaay more than he bargained for.

Delia is leading a double life as amazon warrior and wife to Hector. She barely knows the man she is married to and has a "body double" who fills in for her when she is away on a mission! When the Amazon queen declares the only way for Delia to return home is by completing her mission, can Delia really kill Hector?

Hector thinks a curse has denied him completing the mating to Delia but as the Lyssa takes a hold of him will he be able to stave off the madness or will he succumb and become a danger to all of those around him - even Delia? 

Delia and Hectors story had a different feel than the previous books of the series. I felt it was a bit darker with Delias duplicitous and murderous mission and Hectors thin grasp on his temper and sanity. The Amazon queen is also a shadowy and sometimes downright dark character. As usual the dialogue and scenes pull you right into the thick of the action and the romance is of the HOT variety!

Lost Lady of Thessaly
This is one of my favourite series and is a wonderful blend of mythology, PNR and romance. It plays on my little historian heartstrings and I love it when I know the myths, and characters involved. Iora and Alder are a wonderfully written couple and the whole story is vibrant and just invades your mind! Save yourself an hour or two and read it in one fell swoop, cos you will not be able to out it down.

Iora is certainly an alpha female! She is strong minded, independent and hates asking anyone for help. Alder just slipped right into my heart! He is just such a doll and you just feel for him as he has always been an outsider looking in, even when he was best friends with a prince! He is loyal to a fault, even sometimes when that person does necessarily deserve that loyalty. 

Sad to say au revoir to this world, but hoping its not long till we're back!
