Briefly recounting Leif's discovery and founding of the settlement, the saga continues with Thorvald's trip to join his brother.?When Thorvald and his men reach Vinland, they are attacked and killed by natives, called Skraelings. Hearing of his brother's death, Thorstein sails to retrieve his body. However, his expedition gets lost and he and his crew undergo a perilous journey.
