Second Rebecca Yarros book I’ve read and I need to read another asap.

Definitely one of the better books I have read recently, I loved the emotion , also dual pov is so good 😭 some parts were so intense and I felt a connection to each character

finally finished! shoutout to baby leo, i couldn’t start a new book this week so i just finished this one, but anyways the book, idgaf about the army which what made this little hard to read but the last 3 chapters i was kind of on the edge of my seat, but yeah dual pov and jumping past to present has been interesting and it ended good

After Loving Fourth Wing I know that I needed to Read more of Yarros’s books so when a Friend this one and fell in love I had to add to my wish list and then that very friend kindly gifted me a copy for Christmas and after finishing my latest book series I needed a break and to return to a cosy romance book and this was exactly what I didn’t know that I needed!
We get to follow Izzy & Nate, who meet at just 18 years old sitting next to each other on a plane. Izzy has always had a major fear of flying & Nate tries to comfort her. The plane ends up crashing, but they were fortunate enough to survive. Nate takes care of Izzy, making sure she is safe & gets the medical attention she needs. Before she can make it out of surgery at the hospital, Nate is picked up by the Army & immediately taken into training camp. Over the next few years, their paths continue to cross every so often & their feelings grow deeper. Suddenly, it’s 10 years later & Izzy is in Afghanistan searching for her sister. But guess who ends up being the bodyguard assigned to her for protection? Yep, Nate. Unfortunately, the last time they saw each other, they didn’t leave on the best of terms.
I went into this one with a complete open mind about what to expect and this was just a bit of everything that I didn’t know that I needed. I know that sometimes dual timelines can be easy for me to get lost, but this was done in such a way that I was not lost at all from the events of the past and the events of now all woven together. The characters where just perfectly written and with a storyline that I just got lost in but could so clearly see it all play out.
This is a love story that’s shines … one I couldn’t put down … one I didn’t want to end. I highly recommend this unforgettable and emotionally woven romance that makes you want to grab onto every opportunity, take risks, open your heart to love, and live life to the fullest.

with an hour left in the book I did not finish This book just simply did not keep my attention. Can’t even say anything that was *wrong. I just didn’t enjoy it.

Wow. This is such an amazing, beautiful, emotional book. I absolutely loved it! Couldn’t put it down🥰

Read as a free ebook through Amazon First Reads. I didn’t really read the synopsis before and didn’t usually don’t pick up military romances because I don’t want the politics to pull me out of the story. Disclosures aside, I really was in the mood for an angsty romance and this second chance romance delivered that. It was an emotional rollercoaster. I did enjoy it, it was a good escape and it’s the first time in a while I’ve stayed up way too late reading because I didn’t want to put it down.
