That said, I really enjoyed this! Rush is great and Gia seems very realistic and I loved their honesty and forwardness with each other.

Definitely looking forward to starting Rebel Heart!

the way this book was presented made it seem like hate to love, but there was actually no hate. at all. they were immediately on speaking terms and quickly friendly. also the smut and plot were awful, and the characters were one-dimensional. moreover, lol, that ending ew, literally for why??? 🙄🙄🙄 that ending was not itttt. the only reason i’ve giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the book was fast-paced, easy to get through, and rush sometimes reminded me of a resigned sad puppy staring at gia 😭💀. there was also a trope used that I don’t like unless done perfectly *SPOILERS* the trope was unexpected pregnancy and I honestly wish i’d known about it going into the book so I could’ve had a different mindset.

They like to make us suffer, I'm dying to read the next book and see how the story between Rush and Gia will end.

But in general I loved the book and I wanted to read it since they first announce it, as always they both are amazing as their books ❤️

A guy you can't have when you'll be leaving at the end of the season. Check. Check. Check. I should add--especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss. Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town. Especially when he's mean to you. Or so I thought. Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn't want me walking in the dark. That was sort of how it all started with Rush. And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down. I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close. I wasn't supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn't want to cross the line with me. As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting--and complicated. All good things must come to an end, right? Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.
