I just read this and I don't even really remember what happened. I can only read so many stories about this or that guy pretending to be bad or maybe being traitor or faking it. steve engelhart f-ing sucks, he's a complete hack and relies on a 1970s version of clickbait. his prose also just bricks. like tommy boy, he seems infatuated with the golden age, but he doesn't synthesize it nearly as well. it's possible his run will get better as he warms up, but idk I doubt it.

the harlan ellison story was kinda dope though, at least. and it was nice seeing don heck pencils again.
