I love Percy Jackson's narration -- brings me back to my childhood years reading Rick Riordan's book religiously. 

Hard to say I liked his voice in short story-form though or when he's narrating the lives of others. The stories where the heroes feel more similarly to Percy were enjoyable and flowed well but it was harder for me to get into for stories like eros&psyche.

 I feel like it definitely missed a lot of the details I enjoy in the variations of Greek myths.

definitely unrelated with the stories but if you wanna buy the big hardcover edition not for the sake of aesthetics or being a collector: don't. reading the story, if you're not storytelling it for children who loves pictures, in this edition is full of PAIN. especially if you have back bad like me and you can't sit for too long.

pro tip: don't read while laying, you don't want it to hit your head believe me

This was pretty fun. I like how Percy is portrayed as the narrator throughout this story. I was gripped from the very beginning, and now I know a lot more about Greek mythology.

This was just so much fun. I've always been interested in Greek myths and hearing them in Percy's sarcastic POV made it all the more enjoyable. I will definitely be buying the next one about Greek Heroes, and I hope that Rick writes a lot more of these type of books (not interfering with his series though).
Also, shout-out to the illustrator John Rocco, because this was just gorgeous

I LOVE Greek mythology ( largely because I grew up on PJO ) and as enjoyable as PJO and its modern twist on Greek mythology is, it was so much fun reading about the real mythology, but with Percy as narrator. 

It made everything so much more lighthearted and amusing—which is saying something, because Greek mythology gets pretty dark and questionably violent—and I routinely go back to reread this whenever I’m in the mood for some easy reading and classic Percy Jackson humour.
