I received an ARC of this story through Hidden Gems and this is my honest and voluntary review. Tristan and Isolde, or as they are named in this book, Drystan and Yseult, is one of my favorite Aurthurian era love stories. I have read several versions of the story, I think my favorite was by Rosalind Miles, so I had certain expectations going into this story. I have to say I felt a bit let down. This felt more like a historical war fiction than the fantasy romance the tale of these two should be. It was very well written and a great book, just not what I thought I was going to be reading!
