We have seen a lot of New Orleans in other Meghan March novels but we’ve never seen this side the dark side, the side were a single name instills fear. Mount is the antihero you should hate but I just could not bring myself to hate him. Gahhh I absolutely loved him, don’t get me wrong there were time I wanted to hate him. Kiera what can i say that hasn’t been said before she is a girl boss, feisty redhead who is defiant like no other person would dare to be. Mount and Kiera’s chemistry is off the chart, no matter how much Keira fights it. Now Let’s talk about that ending. Seriously did not see it coming and I usually do. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. I feel like I was looking in one direction going on my merry way thinking I’ve got it all figured out and bam all of a sudden Ms. March comes along and slaps me across the face and says nah look this way this is about to get really good watch!! OMFG!! That ending!! Lachlan Mount might now be my favorite Meghan March alpha. Seriously pick up this book you won’t be disappointed. I CANT wait until Defiant Queen!!!

bye. i loved this

Wattpad writing meets the most uncomfortable relationship I have ever seen. I guess they aren't supposed to be a good romantic relationship but I hated this. So, so much. It was predictable and Kiera was straight up annoying. Maybe Dark Romance is not for me then...

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance I had some pretty high expectations for Ruthless King. The blurb alone would have drawn me into this story, but I also know many fellow bloggers that adore this author. So I opened this book up and even though I liked this story for the most part it had some issues that I wasn't expecting. Now I like a good romance, and yes some good smexy loving, I am always down for. However I felt like this story had way too much in it. In fact I felt like the story...that was the whole focus. Now I understand that when you are doing a trilogy with one main couple, that this can happen, but I was really wanting more "romance" in this story than actually was delivered. I am intrigued by this couple though. Both characters are so different from each other. Our heroine is innocent and a bit naive at times, but she was sheltered so its understandable but I do like that she is curious and willing to try anything. Our hero is typical alpha male, controls the underground and isn't one you want to cross. What I really was impressed with in this book, was how the heroine stands up to the hero constantly. I just loved that. Especially with how naive she can be at times, she makes up for it in stubborness and courage. She stands on her own when she needs to and doesn't let Lachlan run over her all the time. I also loved the strong chemistry between the two and the mystery behind Lachlan. I am pretty eager to see more of him and find out who he really is in future books. I do want to point out that this has a cliffhanger. And boy it really was a doozy!! But thankfully we don't have to wait too long between books. So even though this book won't be put on my top list for the year, I did enjoy it and I am looking forward to books 2 and 3 when they become available over the next couple of months.
