Great issue! Liked it! Tie in to to the whole Venom saga and what's about to come with Knull and whatnot, I don't get why it had to be a special issue and not run on the ongoing series or something, besides all the "web of venom" one-shots which I guess is to collect more money, but yeah, great story and artwork!
It seems Stegman is not just an artist but a fine writer. Developing Cates' current run, this issue distinguishes itself by its relatively sparse text; instead, the images take the helm, driving narrative forward. The pacing is impeccable. It is so well done that its possible to lose oneself in the scene and forget that there haven't been words lately. It is like one of those beautiful films that communicate entirely in mise-en-scene.
