-◈ 4.50 STARS I don't know where to begin. I freaking love this series, so far. It was so addicting! I have a growing sense of responsibility to finish this whole trilogy as quickly as possible, that's how addicting it is. I can't wait for the last book and I'll probably picking it up right away!

Book #73 Read in 2012 Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier This is the sequel to Ruby Red and picks up pretty much where the first book left off. Gwen is getting a little more used to time traveling. She and Gideon are exploring the chemistry between them. Charlotte is still jealous that Gwen is the Ruby and not her. Added to this book is more of the history behind the secret order and the enemies that they are facing. Gwen has a little demon ghost who only she can see and he is becoming her companion. Gwen's friend Lesley is trying to help by researching and investigating what she can. This book has good twists and turns in it. The romance between Gwen and Gideon is beginning to progress. There is humor in the book and also a good mystery plot. The third book comes out sometime during Fall 2013 and I look forward to reading that one as well. I received this book through the Amazon Vine program to review. http://melissasbookpicks.blogspot.com

After I finished Ruby Red I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. I thought I would LOVE these books, because they were about time travel, and the covers just looked amazing. Unfortunately, I thought the story wasn't that much about time travel, and it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. Still, I decided to read Sapphire Blue, hoping it would be more exciting - but honestly I didn't really think it was that much different from Ruby Red. It was mostly Gwen traveling back in time almost every day, and her and Gideon sometimes traveling back together and I don't know, it just didn't feel exciting at all. I am really hoping the last book will be FILLED with action and that I will love it, but I am afraid that might not happen. I did still like the writing, it was very simple and easy to read, I got through it pretty quickly (not as quickly as I thought I would, but there was a sort of reading slump thingy going on). But honestly the story was just a bit boring and the easy writing didn't make up for the kind of boring story. So yeah, I will read the last book, Emerald Green, but I am not really expecting a lot of it to be honest. I will also try to watch the movie of the first book, if I can find the English version, because I am very curious. But alas, this book series is not what I had expected.

Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier was an okay read for me. It was really good at the beginning and end but the middle was just super slow for. I loved Ruby Red but this book just wasn't great in my opinion. The settings and story were skippy and I couldn't get myself to love this book. I kept skipping to parts that were less slow. I found myself skipping at lease 5-9 pages every page. It just wasn't good in the middle. I give this book 3/5 stars. It was good but it wasn't great. xoxo, Bebe

I love love love these books <3. Wauw, wat een geweldige serie is dit!

Actual rating; 4,5 stars. I freaking love these books. My only complaint is that they're quite childish. That's literally the only thing. If you havent read these books, shame on you! * SHAME, SHAME, SHAME, SHAME* *rings bell*

Most middle books seem like filler books, but this kept the plot moving along and I was able to just pick up where I left off while reading it.

The second book in this wonderful trilogy was just as exhilarating as the first! The comedy was on point and I'll tell you why: Xemerius. I LOVE HIM..IT? LOL. Who knew Gier could make a gargoyle funny and have it actually work with the story. I also love James, I mean how fun and great was it to actually meet him when he was alive and kicking! We left the first book with Gwen and Gideon kissing and we open the book right in that same scene. Having read all the books a couple times, I can still say that the romance was the only problem I had with this series. I honestly couldn't stand Gideon or his romantic notions and crap with Gwen. Don't get me wrong, I love Gwen, she's a great, funny and so very realistic protagonist but god was the romance such a disappointment. I just didn't like their relationship and whole 'connection' between them, oh well. Still, it didn't deteriorate my opinion on the books as a whole. We were introduced to Raphael, Gideon's little brother who takes an interest in Lesly. Nothing special there really, again, don't get wrong I love Lesly as well but they don't really contribute to the storyline much except for a certain part, but thats really it. Can I just say how entertaining and cool it is to hear and read through Paul and Lucy's P.O.V. in the epilogues? Not much to say for this book, except that the final last book is way better and I'm pretty sure I'm going to re-read it after reviewing it haha. I really loved the first book in this series (like a loooong time ago) but this one didn't draw me in as much.

The whole series is absolutely fantastic!

Love the plot of this series. Not a big fan of the romance though

I am absolutely loving this trilogy!

Really enjoyed being in the story; the setting and the general vibe, but nothing really happened.

This series is so addictive! It does suffer a bit of the classic ya tropes. However, it's just such a sweet quick read, you forgive the author that. I really enjoy Gwyneth as the main protagonist. I just wish she speaks her mind more. She has the sassiest thoughts, but she almost never says them out loud. And I wish she makes Gideon work a little bit harder for it. She is too starstruck and 'weak-in-the-knees' when she sees him. She is only sixteen though. Gideon is a classic ya hero. I just wish he stood more besides Gwyneth and tries to understand her more. Also, this book would have been perfect if they used more English words, like 'mates', 'wicked', 'sod of' etc. Since the story takes place in London it would have made more sense.

I absolutely loved this sequel!

I'm impressed by the difficult plot, and I can't wait till I get my hands on the last book to see what that fancy, old, mindreading man is up to
