only 3 stars bcos i remember very little about the characters or plot
yum yum & yum! these boys have a special place in my heart. while some parts i thought may have been hard for me to get through, they weren’t. I loved this book & the characters & the fact that the plot twist totally threw me completely off guard & even made me cry. the sexual tension between these characters was so good. Gabriel has a special place in my heart. Iris’s family is ripped away from her before she knows it. her only option per her father, find Silas Black. iris will do what needs to be done because she knows in this case it’s the only reason she’ll survive. so she does, she finds Silas & asks for his help. little did she know she’d get a lot more than just help & she’d also find two broken sons in the process. one desires, the other hates & one wants to save her. she wants revenge.
“Why push any of them away when being with them finally gives me the freedom I never had before? The thought of being his—no, being theirs, doesn’t make me feel like the prisoner I was at my father’s. With them, I’m so much more than that.” Iris is on her own. Left a legacy that she doesn’t know what to do with, it’s essentially in the hands of the three men that she fared herself needing more than the air she breathed. Silas. Gabriel. Baron. One wants her, the other needs her, and the other refuses her. “Four,” is a Reverse Harem Dark romance written by Sara Cate and Rachel Leigh. It is an age gap, as well as a touch of taboo, as it is a father and his two sons. This is the first I’ve read by the duo, and I did enjoy the overall storyline. It was unique in who they were and I loved that aspect of the story. It gave the robotic and emotionless side of each of the guys merit. It had grit as well as the darkness that I always seek in these types of romances. I was hoping for a little more interaction between Iris and the guys- but it being that touch of taboo, we didn’t see that in this story, as she was in a relationship with each one separately. I struggled to connect with Iris the first half of the story, and partially I think it was maybe her age. She was definitely sheltered, and had a lot to learn. She was also very spoiled, but with her situation, came her learning curve. She was challenged, and essentially made to stand on her own two feet- and came into herself at the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I am surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I am a big fan of Sara Cate's writing, so anytime she puts out a book I'm the first to read it and this time was no different. This book surprised me in the best ways. It wasn't just a spicy book with no plot, but an amazing plot that was carried on with great spice. I was kept on the edge of my seat about what would happen throughout the story, unable to even determine who I was rooting for Iris to be with. It's a unique and compelling story that I would urge people to give a chance.
This book is a fast paced dark RH that kept me on the hook till the very end. A little bit of taboo is thrown in as well, seeing as the harem is a father and two sons, which I loved! Four throws you right in to a world of mafia, hit men, and drama. I liked how the relationships developed and how different each of the guys were. The plot was interesting and you’ll want to stick around for some bombshells at the end? 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Good book. I had never read a RH before where both father and son were part of the Harem and it seemed very well executed, not creepy at all. The story seemed very good to me, but I feel that I lack evolution of the characters, as well as evolution of the relationship. I feel that in that aspect everything happened very quickly without focusing on the conflicts presented. However I recommend it
