It has the bones for a good story, but it fell short. Noah didn't really touch on his past with the last woman he slept with. I felt like he should have explained it to Miranda.

*Received ARC in exchange for an honest review* Rating: 4 Stars! bookboyfriendsdoitbetter.com Holy crap did I fly through this! This is my first Sara Ney book and I can 100% say that it will not be my last. I decided to go with 4 instead of 5 stars because even though I flew through it and really enjoyed Hard Pass, I think the characters could be a little more fleshed out. I wasn't checking my reading progress until I looked at the percentage and realized I was already at 70% and I thought to myself 'really? already?'. I wish we could have had more background on the characters and that the book had been a little longer, but if you love romcom, then I would check this one out. I really enjoyed Ney's writing style! Everything flowed seamlessly and The relationship between Miranda and Noah was so sweet and adorable. This is a sports romance (kind of) but instead of getting the typical egotistical alpha jerk, we get sweet sweet sensitive Noah. Noah has manners, is socially awkward, and not the most attractive person. I know, completely opposite of what we usually get. I really connected with his character; down to the socially awkward aspect lol. Miranda is sassy, really honest, and strong. She has goals and is very independent. Ney flipped the trope upside down again with Miranda being the one to show Noah that their relationship is worth it and that it doesn't matter what the tabloids or anyone else say. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for Trace's book! Now, he really is the stereotypical handsome jock, and I am so excited for him to fall hard for his heroine!!
