This one took me a little bit of time to get hooked, but it was pretty good overall. For one thing, the plot was not my cup of tea at first, I don't really care about domestic violence stories, but then there was a pretty good twist. Secondly, I didn’t connect with the character of Marnie straight away, but she grew on me and the story about her family is fascinating. 

In the end, it was well worth sticking with it and I'm especially interested to see how the mystery about Marnie's past plays a role in the next volumes. I don't have much to say about her partner Noah Jake, couldn't tell you much about him except that he was quite a liable character and that I hope he becomes more three-dimensional in the next ones.
