Sarah was not kidding when she said this book was going to be spicy because 🥵🥵.

First of all when you read that dedication you already know it's going to be a wet ride.

If you like political intrigue, you'll like this. But this had to be the best enemies to lovers I have ever read and by far the spiciest. I absolutely love Imryll. She's witting and I love it. I love her relationship with Tas and Draz. I love that even though information was withheld from her, she wants to grow and learn more and does not want future generations to be ignorant and know their past.

Draz, from the second I met this man I knew it was going to be good. I just knew the spice was coming and boy did he deliver. I was happy that he found happiness even after that messy childhood he endured. I love seeing him change or rather return to his old self. I love that he can feel safe with Imryll as she does with him.

Tor, I understand his love for Imryll, however there are some things he did that just didn't sit right with me. At least he tried to do right by her in the end but he needed to chill out, was just giving insecure.

But boy oh boy, the plot twists in this book, the revelations. I can't wait to see how that progresses.

This book also highlighted a lot of what women went through, some might still be going through this. Being restricted from learning everything they want to know about the world, being passed off like a piece of property to men with no say in the matter. I'm really happy that Imryll was able to break away from that and find someone who would treat her as an equal.

A perfect 5 star read.
