Several years ago I read another book by Sarah Pinborough, another in this series and liked it enough to pick up another. Looking at it years later, I forgot what happened in the other book but decided to proceed with this one, not knowing what to expect or why I had been drawn to this other book. Well it was a wild bonkers ride and you know what? I liked it. It was a hodge podge of fairy tales thrown together but was so ridiculous and a nice mix of dark for the story that I found it a worthwhile read.
