A cute, fun rom-com! This is very much a best friends to lovers book with a lot of the typical things you would expect. The girl realizes she's in love with her male best friend, she's too afraid to tell him, and all along he had feelings for her too. Only this time the guy had a girlfriend and thats the main reason the girl didn't say anything. I enjoyed Remi and Elijah's relationship and seeing them work toward being a couple (it took a while understandably). I wasn't sure of my feelings for Remi at first but as the story went on I began to respect her more. She had a lot of growth throughout the book, and boy did she go through a lot of challenges. I'm glad it wrapped up nicely in the end. Read this if you're a fan of the friends to lovers trope. 

Also, this is a minor thing but I really don't like reading books of characters drinking, especially when they are high school aged. It just doesn't sit well with me. But luckily this was only a small portion of the book.

           If you're looking for a predictable, lighthearted love story, this is it. The only downsides to it, for me, were the lack of representation (skin color, body types, sexual orientation, identities, etc) and the whole love triangle (square?) going on that lead to unintentional cheating the first time and intentional cheating later on - which was totally unnecessary and one of the things I can't stand in a book, to be completely honest. It was fun and easy to read, far from perfect, but romantic and fluffy all the same. It would've been amazing with just a little more variety and representation, but oh well.
