The Fifteenth Minute A Sports Romance

Freshman Lianne Challice is known to millions of fans as Princess Vindi. But sometimes a silver screen sorceress just wants to hang up her wand, tell her manager to shove it, and become a normal college student. Too bad that's harder than it looks. She's never lived a normal life. She hasn't been to school since kindergarten. And getting close to anyone is just too risky -- the last boy she kissed sold the story to a British tabloid. But she can't resist trying to get close to Daniel "DJ" Trevi, the hot, broody guy who spins tunes for hockey games in the arena. Something's haunting his dark eyes, and she needs to know more. DJ's genius is for expressing the mood of the crowd with a ten second song snippet. With just a click and a fade, he can spread hope, pathos or elation among six thousand screaming fans. Too bad his college career is about to experience the same quick fade-out as one of his songs. He can't get close to Lianne, and he can't tell her why. And the fact that she seems to like him at all? Incredible.

This was quite an interesting story and I definitely was thrilled to have been able to read Lianne's story as I was intrigued by her character in the previous book. The premise for our couple was quite fascinating and I did enjoy the element of a character being falsely accused of rape as I do think that is a serious issue and hardly gets addressed in our society. We really see the psychological effects that it has on the hero and how he could lose everything over being falsely accused. You really feel for the hero and his situation. I did enjoy that the heroine doesn't freak out over the truth and works on helping him get to the truth of the matter. I found the romance to be endearing at times but didn't quite work for me, I just wasn't able to connect like I wanted to and definitely had a HFN ending to it. But I can see some readers really love this series.

Ä𝕙𝕟𝕝𝕚𝕔𝕙𝕖 𝔹ü𝕔𝕙𝕖𝕣: Off Campus ~ Elle Kennedy Again - Reihe ~ Mona Kasten

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads . I've been waiting for Lianne's story since I realized how freaking awesome she was during the Shameless Hour. Let me tell you – I wasn't the least bit disappointed. It was great to get into her head, learn more about her life and her insecurities, and watch her take her own shot at love. I loved Lianne before starting this book and throughout it, my affection for her only grew stronger. I enjoyed that she was a contradiction – beautiful, famous actress on the outside and shy, kinda nerdy gamer chick on the inside. I love atypical characters. She was kind of awkward at times, which I found endearing, and I loved her spunk. It was wonderful to watch her come into her own during this book. DJ was adorable. He was so sweet and thoughtful, but still sexy as could be. (Hello, perfect guy?) I hated what he was going through and how it affected him. No one deserves to have to deal with what he did. Through it all though, he was a wonderful guy. I loved watching him in his element when he was DJing and, of course, with Lianne. They had great chemistry from the start and I really enjoyed watching things grow between them – and how they each grew as a result of what was happening between them. I was also pleased with how DJ (eventually) handled the truth of his situation where Lianne was concerned. One of the things I love best about this series – besides everything, of course – is the how the characters are all intertwined. This means that, with each new book, not only do I come to love a couple new characters but I get to catch up with my favorites from earlier in the series. And, you know, since I have a tough time giving up characters I love once I've finished their book(s), this is a perfect situation to me. Win-win! The Fifteenth Minute was sexy, sweet and had plenty of feels. It was everything I wanted and a great addition to The Ivy Years series. I can't wait to see who's up next! I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
