Endgame
Reviews

What can I say about this? It was just like reading poetry or something. It was SO good. Amazing. Just amazing. Towards the end, the last issue or so.. makes you stay in every panel more than it should take you to read it and appreciate the artwork. It's THAT good. Everyone who likes Batman, should have already read it. Everyone who likes a great story with great artwork and just wonderful feelings all over the place, should read it. What should I say about the story? I don't wanna ruin it, I'll just say.. Joker is back. He released a gas all over Gotham and he's taking everybody with him. There's also lots of connections with previous volumes and so much mystery in it, and second-guessing about his intentions and past, it'll drive you crazy. It drove Batman crazy..so..yeah. and because he has no cure to save the city, everyone's chasing him, and when I say everyone I mean EVERYONE. On top of that, he has no clue as to what to do, no leads. Nothing. So... Endgame it is. Prepare for a lot of action, mystery, creepy stuff, stabbing, shooting, Bruce against everyone, all odds. And lots of sadness. Joker is done. Joker has one last joke to tell and he's really determined to say it and be loud and clear about it. You will love his plans and actions until the end. Well not "love" love.. but you know what I mean. You will definitely love all of it. And if I could give it 6 stars I would. It's that great. Capullo is like a God in every page. His Joker is so creepy and scary and just pure madness. A total psycho. The scenery is also something that made me love the series too, since the Court of Owls. Every detail and whatnot it's all great and fits so well. Snyder, what can I say about him.. he's one of the best writers alive right now. I love his work and now he proved one more time that he's got lots of great stories to tell. Congratulations to the whole team for giving us such a fun read and one of the best series currently running! Go get your copy. You won't regret it.

This is why Scott Snyder is so great. He really knows how to tap into the essence of Batman and what it means to be Batman. Furthermore, he knows how to counteract Batman with a great villain. Obviously its the Joker and he has been around since the beginning. But some people don't know how to write a good batman joker story. Its about the emotional and mental side. Its never about what joker was able to do physically. Its about the mental battle between Batman and Joker. I loved the way he approached it in the way of Tragedy and Comedy. It was incredible and would recommend it to anyone

This is the oddest, one of the darkest, and weirdest batman comics there is. It really is Endgame. What they turned Joker into is better than before in New 52, but still, not what I want from this character. I dunno, it cheapens him. He isn't just Joker, he's now Joker + Ra's which = lame. And the ending...I can see why my brother dropped New 52. I dunno if they just could keep up after the awesomeness of Batman Eternal, but this as a follow up falls flat. Batman Eternal asks the question is Batman eternal? and this feels like their answer is NOPE! I dunno, New 52 isn't doing too hot when it comes to Batman and Joker, and now it's just...bleh. I can honestly say, I didn't like this very much. Perhaps another reason I dislike this is thanks to the drug from the beginning I kept going, is this just another dream, or reality? I'm still not sure. That plotline made everything confusing, not better. It was a poor idea, honestly. I felt like, we've already explored this just before New 52, which is canon, so why the frack are they doing it again? It's completely unnecessary, already been done, and very... stupid.
