I'd say 1,5 stars, and that's just because it had me in the beginning, but then lost me, and I wasn't even halfway through, then I was begging for something to happen and I would have rated this more if that something was to happen sooner. 

Characters that after 400 pages you don't give a single damn about. Like, I mean, If I cared about Lord Scourge and Darth Malgus, I'm sure you could make care a little bit about some good people. But no.

This was a drag.. this was so damn long that you could tell the same story with half the book that long.

This is not recommended. I'm sorry.

Not bad, its a mediocre book but if you're looking for Star Wars and want to get some background for the Old Republics timeline then give it a shot.

A mysterious ship has come into the galaxy, no one knows what it carries or where it came from, when another ship tries to make contact the cryptic ship self destructs leaving no survivors, but it does leave an artifact behind. 
 This remnant of the crash gets into the hands of galaxy crime lords, the Hutts. They start an auction for this mysterious item, only showing a few of the bidders what it is. Bidders come from across the galaxy to find out what this item is and where it came from, Mandalorians,Jeid,Sith, and many more. They could gain a new technological weapon for the Empire or the Republic and also another planet to have under their control.
 Fatal Alliance by Sean Williams had a good setup, a good plot idea. I feel like this book could have been two hundred pages shorter, it really dragged out. It was hard for me to get into the book so about thirty percent of the way in, I switched to the audio book which was somewhat better. I felt there were too many characters as well, often times I would get them confused and there was an unnecessary romance between characters. Overall, this is not one of the best Star Wars books that I have read, I think it could have been better if it was shortened.
