Secret Legacy

Secret Legacy by Carissa Andrews has a good foundation but honestly could use a rework. My main issue, among a few, that had me wanting to set the book down was the strange pacing and weird transitions between chapters. The story would gain a lot of traction and energy, only to change chapters and have the main character decompress in her bedroom. Then take a few more chapters before the story picked back up again. Slowed it down tremendously and had me quickly lose interest. 

Other than that, read like a early-mid 2000's, post Buffy and Charmed teen drama. Obvious car ad placement  included. So many embarrassingly bad decisions and end of the world (but not really) situations.
