Seeing Further The Story of Science & the Royal Society

I have read non-fiction compilations before. They have always had a unifying theme. Supposedly, this book had the theme of the 350 years of the Royal Society. Not so much. Some chapters lost the reader with complex philosophical musings deeper than what I had to read when I studied the History of Philosophy. Some chapters appeared to be written by fiction writers with their heads in the clouds who mention the Royal Society perhaps once. Not a good compilation. Some great individual chapters but the compilation as a whole suffered mightily.
