Hi! I'm Seth! I was asked to describe my book, Yearbook, for the inside cover flap (which is a gross phrase) and for websites and shit like that, so... here it goes!!! Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it's likely the former, which is a fancy "book" way of saying "the first one.") I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like. I also talk about some of my adventures in Los Angeles, and surely say things about other famous people that will create a wildly awkward conversation for me at a party one day. I hope you enjoy the book should you buy it, and if you don't enjoy it, I'm sorry. If you ever see me on the street and explain the situation, I'll do my best to make it up to you.

Reads as if it were Diary of a Wimpy Kid but for adults.

Pretty funny. I listened to the audio book, which is narrated by the author himself. A collection of anecdotes, including stories about his strange friendship with Kanye West (who would have thought) or meeting Steve Wozniak. Can recommend it to anyone who likes the humour of Seth Rogan movies.

As a confessed fan of 'Pineapple Express' for many years, Rogen has been one of my long-standing obsessions. There is no denying that James Franco does not age well, but it is not a terrible film. Thus, my fascination with Seth Rogen and my love of his work is one of the reasons why I enjoyed this fantastical collection of life stories so much ✨

The story that opens 'Yearbook,' entitled "Bubby and Zaidy," is my favorite in the book. It lends a touch of humor and emotion to the rest of the narrative and allows it to naturally keep its momentum. This story made me realize what a significant role Seth Rogen's grandparents played in his life, thereby inspiring me to continue reading since I was not expecting something so vulnerable from him. Each story is interwoven into the next as 'Yearbook' progresses, causing you to feel as if you were a part of Seth Rogen's life — or at least a piece of it. In addition to humor and failure, this non-fiction read provides valuable movie commentary that someone like me adulates. When you read this book in Seth Rogen's voice and hear his laugh when you get to certain points, it works; I do not normally read nonfiction, but this book comes highly recommended ☺️😋

I laughed out loud, enjoyed myself, relaxed, and truly found myself beaming and agreeing with much of what Seth has learned throughout his life and career. His knowledge and conversations about weed are outstandingly tasteful. Seth is an impressive storyteller. He takes us on an entertaining journey into some very interesting stories that are a part of his life; stories I will never forget.

I listened on audible and would highly recommend it! His signature voice and laugh in an audiobook is *chef's kiss*. A littlleeeee bit too much name-dropping for me, which is surprising because I love celebrity stories/gossip. However, I respect Seth for not being afraid of calling someone out because it's the right thing to do. Some definite laugh-out-loud moments.

Delightful, quick read. Some stories allow the reader to peak into Hollywood’s humdrum while others start with a drug dosage error and unfold into wildly hilarious escapades.

Can also recommend the audiobook, narrated by Seth Rogen himself with a production value that’s similar to some high quality podcasts.

It’s very rare that I would laugh while reading a book but I couldn’t stop with this one. I kept reading passages out loud to whoever was around me at the time because it was just so funny. Basically like reading stand up comedy. As a caution to those who care: this book is contains adult content, lots of cussing, and is overall pretty vulgar

From how Seth’s comedy lifestyle began, to the difficulties and hilarities of being Jewish, and through Seth’s movie work, there’s so much to enjoy. Of course, some stories stand out more than others but I enjoyed them all. I wasn’t a fan of The Interview (2014) but it was fascinating reading about the backlash and controversy around it. I was always convinced a lot of it was just a publicity stunt but reading this was a real eye-opener.

Loads of fun and really in-depth. I loved hearing Seth read it, it was incredibly entertaining with all the different voice actors painting the picture of his life and memories.

This book is delightful to read! Seth Rogen has lived such an interesting life, and he is quite a talented writer, so the essays are all engaging and unique while sharing just enough information. I laughed out loud MULTIPLE times, and really, really enjoyed this. 

As a person who genuinely adores Seth Rogen, it is a bit odd that I have seen so few of his movies + know (on the grand scheme of things) not a Ton about his personal life. He makes such great observations about fame, popularity, and the entertainment industry and the frankness with which he writes makes it all the better. Also, he is quite self-aware and insightful, which I really appreciate.

I wish that he had dived deeper into his personal life and like *who he is* but I can respect his decision to keep privacy -- to share deeply about his life but keep a boundary there.
