I wasn't the biggest fan of this novella. I just don't get the point of it. It's just the end of Restore Me but from Kenji's perspective but it doesn't really add anything new. The only reason I'm glad I read this book is that it's been a while since I read Restore Me and I needed a refresher before going into Defy Me. I've always recommended reading the novella's in this series but honestly, you can skip this one if you don't want to read it.

I want to rate this novella higher because this was a really exciting novella but everything that happens in this just felt so important and like it needed to be in a main book and therefore I have a feeling this novella is going to be just as pointless as the previous one. I feel like most of the things that happened in this is just going to be repeated in the next book and this is just useless again. I don't know. It just feels like a preview to the next book instead of a novella. This even ends on a cliffhanger. I wouldn't be shocked if this would just be copy pasted into Imagine Me. It did get me excited for that book though because what happened in this is very interesting and I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

i only read this to be done with the series. i wish she had never continued it. ughhh
