This 1985 crime fiction novel is the story of an ordinary woman who faces tough circumstances and metamorphoses into a different persona altogether. He is best known for his women protagonists who are feminine and gentle, yet show great strength of character when circumstances put their backs to the wall. He has also been a screenwriter for movies and TV shows. His television credits include the popular show I Dream of Jeannie. Some of his other popular books are A Stranger in the Mirror, The Doomsday Conspiracy, Windmills of the Gods and The Best Laid Plans.

If Tomorrow Comes

This book was a mess. I'm giving it a 1.5; the .5 is for me because I made it through. Honestly, the book was dramatic and traumatic for no reason. Idk what I was supposed to get out of it other than... I hope NEVER to meet any of these raggedy characters in my life. They have no respect for human life, MY GOODNESS! And the woman with 50 eleven jobs. Choose a struggle. Anyway, I read this for my book club and don't think I would have read or made it to the end if it wasn't for my club. I usually don't write reviews or bad reviews, but honestly, I did not like this book. The author is probably great and has excellent books, but it wasn't for me. If someone could explain what I was supposed to come out of this book feeling, I'd appreciate that.

This is one of the first times in a long time that I’ve broken my pattern of reading mostly Romance novels.
 This book was recommended to me by a very dear friend, and so I thought about giving it a real shot since I respect him a lot.
 I wasn’t skeptical about it but curious as to how the book would read considering it was written in the 80s, which obviously featured different writing styles.
 The book was surprising, if anything it was EXTREMELY ENTERTAINING if not a little bit long despite being a mass paperback standard of four hundred pages.

Tracy Whitney’s life is perfect. She loves her job, loves her life, loves her boyfriend/fiancé, and life couldn’t be better. But when she receives a call informing her, her mother is dead, Tracy’s life spirals out of control into something no one could have ever expected. She will do whatever it takes to get revenge and will live a life full of unexpected turns, adventures, and will constantly be chased by international police. It’s not every day a Con-Man is born, or in this case, Con-Woman.

The first thing I will address about this novel is that, IT’S REALLY LONG.
 At least it feels really long the way the story is written and how many events take place from page one to page four-hundred something. And four hundredish pages isn’t even that long, but it felt like forever…
There is so much that goes on and so much detail that it feels like everything is happening so quickly and you have a hard time keeping up pace. I just felt very overwhelmed and as I was just getting used to one part of the story, it jumped to another. A lot can happen to a character in four-hundred pages… MAJOR LIFESTLYE CHANGES.

If Tomorrow Comes is nothing short of entertaining once you get past the boring bits.
 To sum it all up, it’s the story of a woman, a normal, average every day woman, who becomes one of the world’s best con-artists.
 This is the kind of book you read if you enjoyed the Ocean’s Series or White Collar staring Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay. It follows Tracy’s story from being an ordinary person to pulling off heists everyone thought was impossible. The cons, were obviously the best part of the novel.

There was a wide cast of characters that were given backstories that made you wonder, ‘Do I need to remember this? Is this important?’ and most of the time it isn’t relevant. The backstories obviously give characters more depth and insight onto how they became who they are in the present timeline of the book. It still felt…unnecessary the way that it was written in – maybe if the character’s told Tracy their backstory rather than it just be a side insert, perhaps the story would have flowed better.

I definitely enjoyed this book a lot, and despite it being different from my usual read, it was very interesting.
 I don’t know that I’ll continue reading the series since I have so many books to read, but if you’re into strong female leads and women pulling con’s, this is definitely a book you should pick up (most of the beginning stuff is pretty boring so you may want to speed read over that).

This novel is again a nerve-wracking fiction that does not allow you to put down the novel.
The author describes the Protagonist, Tracy Whitney as a beautiful and absolute genius mind woman. She is an independent woman working in a bank, and very happy in her life. 
But one fine day, A misfortune leads to her mother's death, following a series of controversies that lead her to jail. Further, the story is all about her revenge and lead her life an intellect con artist.
the story starts in Philadelphia and New Orleans and goes on London, Paris, and Madrid. 
The story has a wonderful series of twist and turns which keep the book alive at every stage.
