Dream world is something we all experience but not necessarily share, understand or even think about. In one of his most famous publications, Freud is highlighting characteristics of dreams and their significance within our psychic apparatus. Arguing that dreams always are unconscious wish fulfilment mostly due to suppressed wishes, sexual desires or infantile trauma, Freud is taking a look into the mysterious connection between consciousness and unconscious parts of our mind. The book is interesting read, as he’s making his points via interpreting his own dreams and some of this neurotic patients. Even if reader does not agree with his ideas which can be quite biased, taking a look into magnificent dream-world within others is interesting enough. After reading this book one will simply not be able to ignore his own dreams.
