Sometimes I Kill
Reviews

Don't bother reading this book just return it. Easily the most disturbing book I've ever read. This book showed so much promise until the end. The beginning started out very slow (literally wanted to return it), but I kept reading and the plot got better. The flashbacks between Amiee's past and present were so interesting. The whole time I was thinking, "Oh shit. Maggie is alive and coming back to end Amiee's life." But, no!!! I was fucking blind sighted by Ben or should I say Eammon. I didn't want to finish the book, but I did and I regret it. I am now scarred for life.

Aimee Sinclair is an actress, used to playing a role whether she was on screen or off screen. Her life is turned upside down when her husband has disappeared and the money in her bank account is cleared out. I was unfortunately spoiled for this book (completely my fault) so I knew the twist was coming which is what bumped it down to three stars. I know this style of thriller wasn't for everyone and not many people enjoyed the ending but I actually didn't mind it. I especially enjoyed reading about Aimee's past and how she grew up. Overall I quite enjoyed this story and interested in seeing what Alice comes out with next.

Disturbing. And the ending? Was it really necessary? Gross.

I really enjoyed this and thought the plot twist was great - yeah, maybe somewhat far-fetched, but I didn't see it coming and it explained some of the questions I thought would be left unanswered. I know we all experience literature differently, but I'm not sure what's with so many bad reviews as it's really far from a bad novel...

** spoiler alert ** I did like this book, I really didn’t expect a lot of the twists. It really had me gasping when a few different things happened and I’ve read/seen/listened to so many thrillers it takes a lot for me to do that now. The only thing I didn’t like is the super gross yucky ending. I listen to a lot of audiobooks with my job and I had to pause and tell my manager how grossed out I was. I never expected it to happen. I also became super infuriated with the main character Aimee. I was practically screaming at my phone “GIRL JUST TELL THE POLICE” Even so, I do like the book kept me guessing and I never really had anything figured out before it happened. I just didn’t like the graphic rape scene and the way it tied in later at the end.
