5 Stars! 5 Awesome breath-taking STARS! ✨✨ Hi BookLovers, Holy crap! Holy Mother Mary! Help. Me. 🤤😍💖 How do you explain the feeling you have when you just finished reading an awesome amazing book? How do you move on from the book that the writing is just so beautiful it nearly knocked your heart out? How do you write a review for something so beautiful and you just want to share it with the whole damn world about how awesome the book you read? The answer is: YOU CAN’T. THE ONLY WAY FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND YOUR FEELINGS IS IF THEY READ THE BOOK ITSELF 📖 Seriously BookLovers, there are few books I’ve read this year and in the past that I seriously couldn’t describe how I actually feel about the books because of the amazing writing and this is one if it. Something from L.J Shen. I am kind of very picky when it comes to book that I read and I know my time is worth it when the book turn me into foolish speeches. The writing, the characters, the storyline is amazing. I just adore the content of this book and the characters you just don’t know how to explain their banter. I’ve read so many mafia/gangster/mob romance you name it but some have touch me so deeply and SPARROW just made it to the list of my favorite book. Favorite characters. Favorite in EVERYTHING. You guys need to read this. It’s different from any mafia romance you’ve read and I promise, I swear you gonna love it to death! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! :) xoxo.

*2.5

“I love every part of you, the good and the bad, the hopeless and the assertive. We don’t just love. We heal each other with every touch and complete each other with ever kiss. And fuck, I know it’s corny as hell, but that’s what I need. You’re what I need”

Finally read my first L.J. Shen book. Sparrow with an age-gap trope did not disappoint. Troy "The Fixer" decides who lives and who dies, who disappears and who comes back. Anti-hero I was intrigue with that I had a hate to love relationship with him through out story. Sparrow was good match for him. She took her situation with him with her head held high and could hold her own with him. There are secrets, lies, betrayal, love and a good bit of mystery.

4.5 ⭐️ highly recommend for forced proximity, slow burn with spice 🌶

So I hated the beginning of the book. It was probably a 2 star for me if I were to only rate the first half. However, I did like the 2nd half once the characters were slightly less annoying, weren't sociopaths or virginal idiots, and actually showed emotions that made sense. I just don't know about this one honestly. The writing style was fine, the characters were problematic, but I guess they were fine in the end. I liked the banter between the characters. The plot was predictable other than the fact that I could not get behind the character's motivations. It was enjoyable though. I don't regret reading it, but it was pretty average and not my cup of tea.

? So I got this cos it was free and thought I would give it a go sadly it wasn't for me but it wasn't the worst I have read but it was boring you have to read to understand. It's a dark read too killing and stuff which wasn't my cup of tea...

I'm gonna level with y'all, I really wanted to like this one but as soon as Troy said "nice to meet ya" to Sparrow's g-spot, it was all down hill from there.

4.5 Stars. I really enjoyed this dark love story. Troy, the son of a dead mobster forces Sparrow into marriage for reasons she doesn’t know. She’s then uprooted and has to learn this new life living with a man she hardly knows personally. I loved how Sparrow was so strong and stood up for herself and never let anyone walk all over her. I wasn’t a huge fan of Troy for quite a while in the book, but of course over time he learns and changes. The things they had to endure were really interesting for me and kept me wanting to know more. The ending was my favorite ❤️
