Bad Lands
Reviews

Hello, emotional turmoil.

Bad Lands is the 4th installment in the series and this book completely blew me away! I don't want to say too much as I don't want to spoil too much for this one. But it was intense, full of action, and very plot-driven, I loved seeing what brings the couple back together, and that ENDING, I am not sure how I feel about it. It kinda feels like similar to book one but I will save my doubts on that until I read book five, but even if it is then I will probably be okay with it as its addictive. I do apologize for the short review folks.

I love this series more and more as it continues. The cliffhangers are *chefs kiss* but I haven't had to wait for a book yet so I'm sure they will get frustrating quickly once I do. Not sure if this is a complete series but if not I'm sure the cliffhanger will be excruciating. I love the insight into the main character's mind and how she processes things. Brexley is a main character that has real depth and breakdowns and feels all of the things that need to be felt when dealing with trauma and I feel like that representation is SO important. She doesn't just roll with the punches she feels and grieves and it isn't always pretty. Poor thing has gone through so much and as of right now there are 2 more books (could be more but I'm avoiding knowing that until I get to the last page of Shadow Lands). The platonic relationships while also being able to acknowledge that there is a level of attraction is also a great layer to the books. I feel like there is a great amount of depth to these books and the characters. The author does an absolutely stunning job of creating characters that have complex feelings and relationships.

2,5/⭐️ - 3/🌶 I had such a hard time getting through this one for some reason. It felt very repetitive. Not sure if I’ll pick up the next one yet. I did really like the previous books...

I am blown away with this series so far. I read all four books in four days, I could not put it down. I am normally someone who gets impatient with slow burn romances but think Stacey Marie Brown has executed it perfectly over the series. Despite living in a fantasy world, the characters are people we can sympathize with and see ourselves in. It makes parallels to a lot of world issues and struggles everyone experiences at one point or another in life. You will never be able to guess what will happen next so buckle in for a ride where you will experience every emotion possible.

5⭐️ “I was nothing and everything. The bridge between life and death. The in-between. I was The Grey.” Oh…my….days…. HOW IS THE ENDING TO THIS EVEN LEGAL!!! Another incredible instalment in this series, Stacey Marie Brown is a legend!! Non stop action and suspense, I absolutely loved ever second of reading this….until the last page….now I want to rock in a corner until I have the next book. What a cliffhanger that was!! Honestly, this is one of the best fantasy/paranormal series’s I have read in a while, it’s definitely worth the hype which is building around it. The next book can’t come soon enough! ⚠️ Trigger Warning - Violence, panic attacks, torture, kidnapping ⚠️ Plot - 5/5 Character Development - 5/5 Pacing - 5/5 Escapism Factor - 5/5 Emotional Connection - 5/5 Smut -🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
