Stancliffe's Hotel

Containing witty vignettes, that is set in the author's imaginary world of Angria, this book features debauched aristocrats, high-society courtesans and the rakish, brooding hero Zamorna.

Let me begin by admitting that Stancliffe's Hotel confused me.The book does provide a fascinating insight into Brontë's early writing and allows you to wonder how these were the very hands which grew up to write novels like Jane Eyre and Villette.I couldn't help but fall in love with Charlotte's diction once again, but I'm just clueless about what happened in the whole book. There is a Dramatis Personae and that's all before the reader is thrown into a pile of  information. So if you get yourself this book someday and be able to understand the plot, please feel free to educate me !
