Myths have always been with us. Some are constantly being resurrected, some re-emerge in new forms. Their power of survival is due to their adaptability – they undergo updating which can affect their interpretations, the media for their dissemination or their status in the culture of memory. Myths are forms of memory which seemingly tell old stories and in the process – whether intentionally or not – always produce something new.
