i would like to live in Wishing Tree x

I love romance novels. I could lie and pretend like I'm all into the Nobel-prize winners...or whatever other book-award books are out there, because somehow reading and loving those books makes a reviewer more relevant. Romance novels will never even get nominated for those "prestigious" awards, but when we want to burrow in our cozy blankets and get lost in literature, we don't pick up Ishiguro. We pick up a book that will entertain us. ( That's not entirely fair, I really enjoyed Ishiguro's last book) We pick up a story that we can dwell on...that we can fall in love with. We read to be entertained, and Susan Mallery is the queen of entertaining me. And let's face some facts here, there isn't a human alive today that doesn't want a little love in their life. Susan Mallery writes the stories we all want to actually experience. I want to got to Wishing Tree and see the first snowfall festivities. I want to experience the advent...despite the cold (and I really hate the cold!). Susan Mallery's artful prose throws me into a community I genuinely wish to be a part of, which is no small feat. Her delicate weaving of words puts me into a story-coma, which is exactly what I want when I read a book. So five stars go The Christmas Wedding Guest. Thank you Susan Mallery for your masterful organization of those 26 tricky characters in the English language. I appreciate you.
