This excruciatingly slow-burn romance had me on my toes and fanning my face the entire time! Just wow! I live for these types of romances, where the couple gets to develop slowly and you can truly tell they know each other inside-out.

I adored Brooke and her denial. You could really feel that she wasn't sure what to do and her ansiousness towards all of it had me feeling for her. I also enjoyed and loved her relationship with Joey. You could tell these two are completely close and the way Joey did something for her... I was like, GO Joey! And yes, he needs a book ASAP! 

Mason... Oh, Mason. He stole my heart right from the start. That's a lie. He stole my heart back in ALL I WANT, but in this book, he completely blew me away with his patience, tenderness, care and love for Brooke. We all need a Mason in our lives, people!

Overall, a top read for 2018. The slow-burn romance was beyond slow-burn but goodness, it was the best! It's been a while since I've read an amazing romance like this one and I'll definitely be re-reading this baby over and over.

This was an absolutely captivating book. I found that Brooke was easy to relate with, and that her character development didn't seem unnatural. The book just flowed together as one and I love this about J. Daniels. Her stories are expertly woven together; word by word. This author has a knack for putting herself in her character's shoes and making them do things and react in ways that are appropriate for their personalities. That is very hard to pull off, and she does this effortlessly.

What I also liked about this book, is that it was the perfect length. The story didn't seem rushed in any way, allowing for proper evolution in Brooke's character, but it also didn't feel dragged on. Again, I tip my hat off to you J. Daniels.

Although this is part of the Sweet Addiction trilogy, it is a stand alone novel that accompanies the first two. You should definitely go get the book now! "Yeah?"
