Switch Bidder Jock Hard, #5
Reviews

This is a sweet read, but it's super duper short! I think the author could have stretched it out more because that ending was far less than satisfying. I legit yelled "THAT'S IT?" by the time I reached the end of the final page. When that fact finally sunk in, I cursed. And cursed some more. Because I want more of Ryker and Piper. Bummer! Hence the 3 stars.

Piper has had a crush on Ryder Williams for four years, although he doesn't even know who she is... After all, he's a famous college baseball player, and she's a nerd, always with her nose in a book. Except when she’s looking at him... Now she’s at an auction where a bunch of guys are going to auction off their time and she discovers that Ryder is one of those guys. And then her best friend bids on him and wins him on her behalf... Obviously she has no intention of claiming the prize until he confronts her and wants to know why. The truth is Ryder noticed Piper four years ago when they had a class together, but a friend of his showed interest in her first, so he never approached her. When he finds out that she was the one who "won" him at the auction, he can't help but hope for a second chance. However, weeks go by and she never gets in contact with him. And he decides to know why… She insists she has no interest in claiming the prize, since she was not the one who bid on him, so he decides to take a risk and invites her to a date. And the date ends in the backseat of his van in a scene that is both scorching and sweet. I liked Switch Bidder, but I found the ending too abrupt. In fact, I got the feeling that it was a prequel, but that doesn't seem to be the case. But I'd read a sequel, no doubt! COYER Scavenger Hunt: Read 5 books with less than 100 pages (4/5)

This was absolutely adorable. I’ll be pre-ordering the ebook in the hope of getting a little more of these two.
