3.5- first half of the stories were stronger than the latter imo. Great way of revisiting this series 😍

I don't know where to begin this except to say that I really enjoyed this. As a far of the world, I knew I needed to read this, just to see what sort of folklore would be featured and this book didn't disappoint. This book is short stories set in the world of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. I enjoyed all stories and all the different characters. My favorites were: The Fork-Tongued Princess, The Woman Who Befriended Ghosts, The Girl Who Could Tame Nightmares and The Boy Who Could Hold Back the Sea. Part of what makes this book great is the writing and Ransom Riggs bringing us into the world of these characters and tell their stories.

I liked the little meanings of each story! I didn't like how the stories dragged on for a while, couldn't really connect/ get to know the characters. I couldn't finish this book which I'm annoyed about! I tried to but I got too bored.

I adore reading books that are spoken about in a fictional worlds. This was a cute read to add to the peculiar world. It reads like our own fairy tales.

6/33 Licht und Schatten, wie in jeder Märchensammlung. Allein fßr "The First Ymbrine" sind die 4 Sterne aber gerechtfertigt.

I really love the tales. The others are way too short but still enjoyable to read. Plus, the illustrations and details are on point. My favorite tales are The First Ymbryne, Cocobolo, The Locust, and of course, The Tale of Cuthbert. I suggest you to read the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series so you can enjoy more the tales.

This was a very entertaining and wonderfully strange set of stories! I loved the peculiar aspects but was happy that it didn't seem necessary to read all the peculiar children series to really enjoy these (I've only read the first one). The tales are unexpected, sometimes gory, and heartwarming!

Fantastic book with some really great stories, many of which brought a tear to my eye. The production quality was fantastic as well, it's a beautiful cloth bound hardcover with gorgeous illustrations throughout.

It was a spectacle of such transcendent beauty that it made her forget her troubles for a moment, and when it was over, she wished desperately to see it once more. In an instant the sky went dark and the dawn broke all over again, and she suddenly realized she had a talent other than her ability to change form: she could make small moments repeat themselves.
