Sometimes memories are what you need to remind you who you are and where you come from. First Impressions That Forever Girl is the second book in the “Getting Lucky” series by Meghan Quinn. Even though this is only my second reading of this author, I am amazed at this author’s ability in writing such a powerhouse of a read, especially a story that is a romantic comedy. I really have to be in the mood for these type of romances, but Meghan Quinn implements such beautiful heart into her stories and “That Forever Girl” was no different in this aspect. I was absolutely in love with this book and even though it had some elements that aren’t my cup of tea, she created such a story that had me in love from beginning to end. This is a story that takes seven years for our couple to find their HEA but seeing their journey is such a beautiful experience. I knew from the beginning that Meghan Quinn would take me on such a delicious ride and she surely did and I was captivated by each moment that brings Harper and Rogan together, both the angst and the intimate sweet joys that are built up. It has a sweet small town setting, with a movie deal for the town and is picturesque of all the Hallmark feel’s that I guarantee will captivate each reader. I want to live here forever, deep inside Harper, stopping time as this euphoric feeling consumes me, where there is nothing but me and her and the love I have for her. How could I ever have been so stupid to let go of this? To push her away when she’s the only thing that matters? All I’ve ever needed was her love, her arms wrapped around me, her lips pressed against mine. I would give up everything just to make sure I’m by her side for the rest of my life. Everything. Just to be with her. Summary Rogan and Harper were best of friends when they were kids and teenagers, and then slowly more was built between them and they both knew that they would have forever together.. Rogan was invested in his football career and Harper didn’t know what her journey would be, but she knew if she could be by the side of Rogan, she would be complete as he was her home. But their journey was disrupted when Rogan suffered a leg injury and he lost his dream of being a football star when they were in college, and through his hurt and pain, Rogan pushed Harper out of his life and made it so that she would hate him forever. They were separated for quite a few years and now Harper has returned to Port Snow and is determined to make a life for herself no matter that Rogan lives in the same town. At first Rogan is determined to keep Harper hating him and acting like a schoolboy teasing the girls, but he realizes that he is older and more mature and has built a good life for himself and much of that was driven by his love for Harper. Now that she is back in his life, he is determined to prove to her that their love is worth fighting for and he isn’t the same man as he once was, and will fight for her and rebuild what they once had. Because for Rogan, Harper is His Forever Girl… I like to believe that some people hold the beat of another human’s heart in theirs, and they spend their entire lives searching for the owner. People are put on this earth to love. You are one of those people, and Rogan is your other half. Without him, you’re not whole. Without you, he’s empty. You complete each other, and there is nothing wrong with basing your lives around the love you share. What I Loved That Forever Girl was such a beautiful romance and it had me all over the place and I have no regrets on this one. There was so much captivating moments that go from laughing my booty off, to wanting to swoon in all the depths of layer of emotion that this author is capable of implementing. This story even has a LOT of flashbacks, and you, my readers, know how much I really struggle with those but I SO didn’t in this one. It was like the writing just knew how to captivate me enough to get me to be more than open with them and even though they do go back and forth, I found it to be such a necessary in seeing their journey from their past and their present. And all the LAUGHTER that was packed within this book, I was all over the place but I adored seeing the way that humor is implemented within this story. I wanted so much for our characters to find what they deserved to have together, and it was such a angst filled one. I had so many laughs because Rogan really knows how to push Harper’s buttons and the whole family are such matchmakers. We also get this sweet side story that sets the tone for story, with a movie being filmed in their small town and the excitement that it brings to the story, There is such a quaint small town feel that really sets the right setting. We also have this little element of a curse, which is more in the backdrop and not as focused as what we did see in the first book. The romance is one that has plenty of angst but it also has its rich rewards. There are so many small intimate moments that are built between Rogan and Harper that I was so in tune with their story and never wanted it to end. I was cheering for them all the way through, through the laughs and the tears and the sweet smiles that were brought to this reader’s face that only an author like Meghan Quinn can bring to the surface. This was a romance that I never wanted to end and is one of my top favorites of the year,. You were searching for your home, and when it comes to you and me, our home isn’t a location or a building; it’s the place we hold in someone’s heart. What I Struggled With Nothing!!! This book was perfection. Broken love can be mended, but it takes work, understanding, and appreciation for each other’s journey. Overall View I found That Forever Girl to be a story of epic love, laugh your booty off bantering, delightful family dynamics and guaranteed to deliver in all of the feels. This book is pure perfection and will bring delights to its readers! Seven whole years apart . . . they were painful, but I don’t think we could ever have gotten to where we are today without them. I know I wouldn’t have had the drive to make a better life, and Harper may never have realized where she belongs: right next to me, our hearts beating as one. Seven years . . . it was all worth it. She’s worth it. My forever girl.

This book is a roller coaster of emotions.

I haven't read That Second Chance yet, but I was really excited about That Forever Girl. So many people were loving the first book and the second one sounded amazing. Meghan Quinn is amazing at romantic comedies, but That Forever Girl proves she's also amazing at hitting you in all the feels. Before talking about Rogan and Harper's story, I have to say I want to be a member of the Knightly family. I always think it's amazing when an author can create a family that is so loving, caring and just so much fun you want to join them and become a member. I will never have enough of this family! That Forever Girl was an amazing and I was sucked in right away. The way this story was told wouldn't let me put this book down. I love that we get both Harper and Rogan's POV, but also two timelines. We get to see memories from years ago and read about them in the present. That made this story come alive and the 'second chance romance' element of this story a lot more understandable. On top of that, the story flowed so much better this way. Everything happens gradually and I loved I could understand their thoughts and feelings even better. This is definitely a love story I won't forget. Rogan is a tough cookie to crack. In the beginning it's clear a lot has happened and I just wanted to smack him at times for things he did. Until I got more of his story. Then I could understand him so much more and my heart really went out to him. Harper comes back to town, but it takes awhile before we find out why. I think the break up with Rogan was even harder for her, because she lost a family as well. Harper is still trying to find her way and I think coming back to Port Snow was the right move for her. Even though she doesn't always seem it, Harper is a lot stronger than she thinks. Even though this book is more serious than her romantic comedies, Meghan Quinn still made me laugh. That Forever Girl is the full of all the feels. We get an amazing love story, a wonderful small town, romance and swoonworthy moments and characters you won't forget. I definitely need more in this series and to be back in Port Snow!

Who is in the mood for emotional second chance romance? If you are, then That Forever Girl is the one for you. That Forever Girl is a dual POV romance story that the reader will get to know reader about Harper and Rogan throughout the book. Harper and Rogan have been high school sweethearts until Rogan football career ended that he pushed Harper away. They had the most loving relationship that it was sad that they broke up. But they get reunited again as years past when Harper moves back. It is definitely unexpected but they are going to hash out a lot of things as the book progresses. Harper has been through the ringer that she kinda lost herself. I kinda feel for her that she lost her way as the years past but she is willing to find herself again when she returns back to her hometown. It may be a little tough for her coming back especially with her ex ,Rogan, living in town. But she is a strong woman that she can push on. It may be difficult since Rogan is pushing her button and annoying as much as possible but she can do it. Rogan football career has been the dream but it change when he got severely injury. He kinda shuts his self off that he has some regrets especially involving Harper. He gets the chance to fix it when Harper returns back. But he needs to stop being a jerk and recognize that he still loves and will always love her. It take some time for him to realize since he is a man but when he does, then he starts forming a plan. And he needs it if he wants Harper back. Getting a second chance is very rare. Sometimes, it cannot happened but when it does, you need to graceful. And it is something that Harper and Rogan will figure out in That Forever Girl. Four Star

I was especially stoked for Rogan's story because it was another second chance romance. Y'all know those are my jam. That Forever Girl was an excellent addition to Meghan's Getting Lucky series. Boy do I love these Knightly brothers. (And their ladies!) I'll be the first to admit That Forever Girl is a bumpy ride. Rogan was grumpy and closed off. I liked Harper, but it did take me a little time to connect with her. There was no doubt there was still a bit of a flame lingering between them, but it took awhile for things to progress. And I wanted to shake both of them at various times along the way. All that said, the pacing and the story felt authentic for them. I do love a good, frustrating (and even angsty) slow burn. That Forever Girl was all of the above. Without giving too many of the details of Harper and Rogan's story away, I can tell you I swooned super freaking hard for this one. His grand gesture? Oh my word. If I hadn't already been half in love with him at that point, that would've sealed the deal. So romantic! As with the first book, I found myself nearly as enamored by the town and its people as I did the romance. Not slighting the romance here. The setting and characters were just that good. I can't wait for the third! I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
