The Archive of the Forgotten
Reviews

I’m really loving this series! Book two felt much more focused on the development of “found family” and character ties. I like the plot line a lot.

I have lost words of how much I love this series. I love it. I LOVE IT. ALSO BREVITY MY POOR MUSE. And Claire. Claireeeee 😭😭😭

The Archive of the Forgotten follows the aftermath of the first book, where our main characters saved the library from being completely destroyed but were unable to save hundreds of books. This was a good sequel, it introduced us to a new character, Probity, who I completely hated, and we got to reconnect with the old gang. The plot was well done and the world building again was on point. I was expecting more character development, but that didn't really happen until the later half of the book. Overall, a really solid book and the ending was left open-ended, so there is a possibility for a third book

This book is difficult to rate. I didn’t love it nor did I hate it. The concept is brilliant and mysterious! But, in the end, we still don’t know what had happened to the tragedy that had happened to the lost Damsels which is annoying. The brilliance of this book is that while it is split POV, each character is lost in their own way. Are they the villain or hero of their own story? Can they be a hero now or, in their good intentions, can they only cause harm? Additionally, this book tackles subjects such as what makes someone “enough” and what is the purpose of a book? This grim dark fantasy is very unique, if not confusing.
