The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After
Reviews

This was honestly so cute and a fun way to help conclude the series. You saw so much of these characters lives throughout this series and to see them all come together one more time was so good. While some parts had me worried and some I was happy I enjoyed it all because it was real and authentic from the time period. A fun series to read this year!

I was given a copy of Happily Ever After by Edelweiss for a review. When I saw the title, I was beyond pleased. I have just really enjoyed reading this series. I hadn't a chance to read the epilogue novella's that have come out for some of the books in the series. For me though, I had such a fun time reading this, and read it in one evening, I liked it so much. I think my favorite novella of them all would have to be from "The Duke and I". I think that novel was my favorite...I just fell in love with Daphne and Simon from the beginning. I really liked seeing more of them, and the rest of the Bridgertons. I really loved seeing a happy ending for Violet Bridgerton (the mother). I think I had always been hoping for a story for her as I read the series and we got to know her better. There was such a fun and playful aspect to these novella's, that keeps you engaged with every short story. I also liked the way this author did each novella, they were at various periods of time in their lives. It definitely kept me on my toes and unable to put it down. Such a delightful end to a fabulous and great series. I would recommend this to any lover of the Bridgerton series. A Perfect Ending!!

I'd read some of these before (Anthony, Benedict, and Colin) but it was fun to see everyone a few more times (and get some insight into little Violet before she was a Bridgerton).

Already read all the other stories besides Violet’s last year. Violet in Bloom - 4/5

Rating: 3.5 stars Favorite Quote: “He’d been waiting for a love fraught with passion; it hadn’t even occurred to him that true love might be something that was utterly comfortable and just plain easy.” Summary: The Bridgertons have all found their happily ever afters. This collection of 2nd epilogues gives the loyal readers a glimpse into those happily ever afters and an additional novella following Violet and Edmund’s courtship and love story. Review: Daphne & Simon Daphne’s surprise pregnancy was fun to read about and an excellent conclusion to their story, but Colin and Penelope coming to Simon for parenting advice was so heartfelt and was a nice bow on Simon’s story. Anthony & Kate These two are so entertaining to read; their characters are so lively, and I swear their energy and presence come off the page. I loved getting to see them so in love after all this time and getting to experience another Bridgerton Pall Mall game! Benedict & Sophie Posy’s story was sweet and I enjoyed the sisterly interactions after such a tumultuous history with each other, plus Posy getting her happily ever after tied up some loose ends from their book though admittedly I was not very interested. I would have preferred a focus on Benedict and Sophie’s life together. Colin & Penelope This was a nice addition and tied up some loose ends from their story, however, I felt Eloise’s reaction to the Lady Whistledown reveal was severely downplayed and minimized the significance of Penelope and Eloise’s friendship. Hyacinth is so sly and witty, and I loved her features within this novella. Eloise & Phillip Amanda’s story was romantic but I did not really connect with her story nor was very invested. Francesca & Michael The epilogue explored Francesca’s infertility struggles. It was refreshing to read a novella of a more serious tone, though the topic of infertility could have been addressed in a way that did not involve a miracle cure or chance that is simply not the reality for many women who struggle with fertility. Hyacinth & Gareth SHE FOUND THEM! It wasn’t the most satisfying conclusion but it was still sweet. Gregory & Lucy Ouch. Spectacular angst and it was nice to get to see Gregory as an extraordinary father. I think it was also important to get to see Hyacinth and Lucy have mended the rift between them and have become true sisters-in-law. Violet In Bloom I loved getting Violet’s perspective and getting to see her and Edmund’s legendary love story but ultimately my high expectations weren’t met in the end. I wish we could have seen more of the two as a married couple and as parents.

This one was a bit of mixed bag. My favorites were 1st (Daphne's last child), 3rd (story of Posy's marriage) and 6th (Francesca).

I do wish that I had know that this book was just the second epilogues from the other books in the series plus violets story, but it was a very good read!

The extra star is for the Violet Bridgerton novella. Thank you, Julia Quinn. Thank you for writing it and for giving us a glimpse of Violet and Edmund.

The characters did not evolve really. I was sad to read sex scene again and again. Yes they are happy married couple of ten years and more but it is not realistic. But for someone who’s wondering what happened with all of them, its a great book

Bridgerton family, is all I will say this time.

The kind of ridiculous indulgent stuff I love.

Despite my uncertain feelings towards the Bridgerton series (I loved half and was unsure about half), I loved this book and thought it was full of cute and adorable moments whilst letting me revisit the characters that I have read about over the last few months. I loved how the relationships played out in these epilogues, and I cried a lot I will admit (both happy and sad). I also felt so emotional whilst reading Violet's novella and I have grown deeply attached to the characters in this series and I do want to read more of Julia Quinn's work in the near future. (I may be biased but I have to say that Hyacinth and Anthony's epilogues were two of my favourites from this collection.)

Always lovely to have an extra bit to each story. Loved Violet’s little story at the end was so lovely yet heartbreaking to go through such a loss.
