This seminal text many assertions about the world which as a framework of thought are extremely interesting, even if it doesn’t hold up when applied to the world. His predictions of the 21st century from the 1990’s range from worryingly accurate to just wrong. The idea of civilizations and associations of culture still is a useful tool for understanding interstate interactions. I have so many thoughts, and though they don’t necessarily have to do with how ‘well’ the book is written, I could speak on the topic as nauseum.
