The Danish Way of Parenting What the Happiest People in the World Know about Raising Confident, Capable Kids
Reviews

I thought the book was fantastic. The truth of it all is that the Danes are rated as the happiest people on earth for a long time too. I believe it has a lot to do with the parenting. My wife and I have been doing things similar to what is described in this book and our kids are very happy. There are some things that I take from this book that I will implement as well. It breaks it down real easy to understand. It is not rocket science to be a good parent but you have to be willing to put in the work. This books gives a great breakdown of what to do and what not to do. I enjoyed it and will recommend it to any new parent or even if your struggling with your kids, this will give great insight. Now after you read the book enjoy some hygge time.

This is what adopting parents should really be reading. All the TBRI and attachment and trauma books focus so much on the negative that they're missing the key points of positive parenting. We've been there done that and NOTHING has helped my adopted child more than adopting positive parenting and methods similar to the ones outlined in this book. This is a very quick read that should be reread a couple times to let it sink in. It is a quick outline, not a step by step guidebook. Easy to understand and implement. There is a better way to parent than the stereotypical American way that leads to either spoiling and entitlement or rebellious for attention.
