The Deep End The Honey Series
Reviews

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance The Deep End is the first book in the Honey trilogy and what a story this is, and I loved every single moment of it. Now I know why some people have reservations about this book because I had the same reservations. This type of dynamic is not for everyone and can be difficult to relate to and BDSM on its own ground can be challenging for some even for this reader. BUT this is Kristen Ashley and she has never disappointed me and she totally DIDNT!!! I loved everything about this book and I have no complaints at all. But I do think going into this book you NEED to have an open mind and you more than likely won't like it at all. But I had a blast with this story. I could get lost in this one, she thought. Lost and never found The Deep End features our two main players in the story Amelie and Olivier. Amelie is a Dom and she needs what "Honey" a sex club and more specifically an elite BDSM club gives her, it has class and style and at the heart she can't deny who she is especially when she likes to play. But she is looking for something more, she wants to find someone to fill her needs and deepest desires but also have a home and family with with the van and white picket fence. And has lost all hope of finding it UNTIL Olivier shows up a sexy beast ....her beast. Olly has always known he has been different, he may be alpha in many other respects but he needs what Amelie can give him. But he is new and he knows she is pure class and so above him in many ways but he can't deny the connection he feels for her, an intimacy he has never had with anyone and he will do anything to protect her and keep her by his side “You may hold me loosely,” she allowed. His lips quirked but he didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around her loosely. Arms that were so long, they crossed at the back and his hands rested at her front hipbones.“Something funny?” she asked.“You’re cute when you’re bossy.”She opened her mouth but he lifted his chin in a “shut” gesture and kept going before she could get a word in.“Cute but hot. When you’re workin’ me, it’s just hot, Amèlie. So don’t get pissy.” The Deep End is a story I was so scared to delve into but I was in the mood for a good erotic romance and I haven't read one in a while, and knew that this book has been gaining dust on my shelf so I grabbed it up and I was in the mood for it which I think really helped me. But this book I always went into knowing what it was and being open minded in knowing what it was. I don't really understand all the hate for this book to be honest. I know its not the typical KA style read but in some ways its has her beautiful writing and style ....the dynamic of the hero and heroine is just different. I’m yours, you can claim me, but get me now, Amèlie, or we gotta have another conversation. You claim me, I claim you. I get my place. I get you make this decision. But I’m fuckin’ sayin’ it anyway. You’re mine Now I wouldn't say this is my first time reading a book where the heroine is in control in the bedroom. My first introduction into this was actually by Suzanne Brockmann, not kink but the heroine took control of the sex parts of the book and it INTRIGUED me and I have been looking for more of this and Kristen Ashley did it perfectly. But BOY This book is STEAMY HOT and GOODNESS. Not a book you want to read outside the bedroom or out in public just fair warning lol. But I will say I ADORED the deep connection that is formed between Amelie and Olly. Even though the sex is hot, there is something "MORE" between them than just the sexual pleasure. I loved how Amelie gets Olly and sees what he needs and the battle that rages inside him and wants to let that "beast" out to play. I was pulled into their relationship with such a need to know more of these two and the relationship they were building even though they didn't fully understand what was happening. And so many tender and poignant moments that are built between them. Yours as you are mine. And we get to meet other members of the club and hints for players for the next two novels and the novella from 'Loose Ends" I can't wait to see more of the "Honey" club and what this author brings to these strong alpha ladies and their alpha subs. Overall this book is PURE sensuality and hidden depth of emotion and love to sigh in pleasure in.
