I’m often left underwhelmed with books like this with which of the suspects were responsible, but thankfully in “The Fixer”, that was not the case. The high stakes, unexpected twists and political players made this an entertaining and engaging read. I am eager to see how this mystery continues in the next book,

"nothing but trouble" by phantogram "take care of yourself" by maisie peters (tess's song) reread five years later and still such a fun, entertaining read that kept me on my toes!! this helped distracted me in high school and now it helped me with work burnout

This was SO great! It's fun to read a political thriller aimed at the YA crowd that's not 100% cheese. I wouldn't have complained if it was a bit longer, because I'm the kind of person that likes to read the silly details about secondary boarding schools with rich kids & there could've been more of that in this book. This is apparently going to be a series, which is awesome because I could definitely do with more! I liked all of the characters & the reveals about Tess's history along with Ivy's hardcore job as a 'fixer'. Her HS friends were all entertaining! There is absolutely no romance (!!), but it's fairly obvious that the author is setting something up for Tess. Bit of a TW as this book does include mentions of child abuse & suicide.

Very good fast paced read. Some plot points were predictable but the unique elements out weights those elements. It is scandal meets YA and I really loved this book. Can't wait for the next book in the series. The characters were unique to read about and I loved this world

Jennifer Lynn Barnes is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers. this book is action packed, complex yet simple, shows great character progression, and shows that age cannot stop you. it also shows that your parents are not necessarily a direct reflection of how you will act.

This book was so much more thrilling and tension filled then I thought it would be! It’s no shocker I finished it in 2 days and I can’t wait to read the next book.

I loved The Fixer. Tess has been living with her grandfather in Montana, but he has been stricken with Alzheimer's. Tess's sister steps in and takes over moving her to Washington DC and their grandfather to a facility in Boston. It doesn't take long for Tess to get in trouble at her new school, but as it turns out, she gets it naturally. This was a real page turner that was enjoyable from beginning to end - a mystery on a national scale that is wrapped up in the life of a high school student. Highly recommended - Hoping for a sequel.
