Definitely fell in love with the whole Avatar world all over again. After finishing the second trilogy of the LOK graphic novels (Ruins of the Empire), I am definitely starting the Kyoshi Novels!

Normally I find brainwashing plots hard to swallow but the Avatar world-building has established how it works and The Legend of Korra stories have all been wrapped around how advances in bending has been helping the modernization of their world. http://pussreboots.com/blog/2020/comm...
Big battles that were hinted at are solved instead by cunning. Give how many panels and pages can be lost to "epic" battle scenes — yelling, explosions, posturing — it was refreshing to see something different done. http://pussreboots.com/blog/2019/comm...

3.5 stars it has made me realize that even though it's great to digest more LoK content after i have finished the show, the comics aren't as strong as the ATLA comics. the themes in the LoK comics weren't as fully developed as ATLA and they were more plot-driven. it's great seeing how in this comic, we focus more on fascism and the sides to running a "democratic" society and kuvira's character growth from the 4th book and her taking accountability for her actions.
the level of soft I am for these legends cannot be matched (EXCEPT MAYBE BY ZHU LI AND VARRICK WHO ARE SUCH A QUIRKY BUT WEIRDLY CUTE COUPLE I CAN'T) i love this gang so fucking much reading these make me so happy thanku Michael Dante DiMartino i owe u my life

The villains were garbage and Korra is still useless, but man was I happy to see Jinora, Bolin, Mako, and Asami again ♥

A good ending to an enjoyable series. Hope they continue the Korra comics.
Really enjoyed these 2 and can’t wait to read part 3.
3.5 stars. Definitely not my favourite out of the three, but still good.
