the nostalgia is realllll - it was so funny seeing the characters at the beginning of their archs (especially malec LMFAO). if this edition had been out when i read the book in 8th grade, i may have had a heart attack or somethin idek. loved seeing clace meet for the first time again, a classic (and now a cliche) of its era & the beginnings of sizzy lollll. and the art style is stunning omfg, love the art so much.

The writing is wired and cringe this graphic novel has been the worst one yet and it feels like the forcing for insest. The art as always was really cool and I will continue reading the book using the graphic novel because that's the easiest way to read their book because it's so thick the chapter book version. Hopefully the other ones are better but it's hard to get redemption after insest.

Again nothing spectacular about this book I really liked the drawing though they were cool. There was some incest but I already expected it because obviously, this book is kind of famous on booktok and booktube so I already was ready for it.

I love how these are a great recap of the plot of the novels and how they're still able to work in some of the best lines.

While I'm not the biggest fan of Cassandra Jean's art style, I do appreciate the time and effort it takes to do this! I can't make symmetrical stick figures. 

Overall, I enjoy these a lot and I can't wait until I have a full collection! Only like 9 more to go! Which makes me wonder, will the larger books get more volumes? Craaaazy.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. These are not perfect, but they're a great way to refresh your mind of what happens in the books without having to take the time to read the whole thing.

Ormai è tradizione che ogni anno nella mia challenge di Goodreads ci debba essere un volume di questa serie di Graphic Novels :). Chi sono io per rompere le tradizioni?

Rispetto al volume precedente, ho sentito che mancava qualcosa. Questo può dipendere grandemente dal mio gusto personale, tra i libri di TMI City of Ashes non è mai stato il mio preferito. 

Adoro lo stile di Cassandra Jean, comprerei qualunque cosa disegnato da lei ❤️. Alec e Magnus sono davvero super super teneri e mi ha fatto piacere rivedere alcune delle mie scene preferite in questo formato. Per quanto riguarda la storia, nella prima parte di City of Ashes non succede praticamente niente di che, tranne alcune cose che non sto qui a spiegare in caso non abbiate letto la serie, quindi è normale che non abbia quella fluidità che aveva la seconda parte di City of Bones dove succede praticamente di tutto. Considerato quello che succede nella seconda parte, mi aspetto un quarto volume ricco di azione ;)

I loved Cassandra Jean's artwork and I, of course, live the shadwhunter world so this is great. It condenses the story well and is handy if you want a speedy re-read.
