The Nutcracker

For a book dedicated to children, it was pretty enthralling. I think if I were a child it would have been a 5 star. I lost interest during the tale-within-a-tale about the Nutcracker, and really had a hard time understanding if the people were humans or toys, because of the imagery and such. I don't think I've ever seen the ballet. Now I might have to, just to see if it is anything like the book. I know Dumas isn't the original writer either, so maybe his differs from the original as well? I'm not sure what he changed to be honest.
