This series is my life fr

Wow. So yeah, I do not mean that in a good way. Damn this book was a disappointment. All the way through I just wanted to finish it and when I did I did a happy dance that I finally finished this damn series. I do not know if there is another book coming out and I probably won't read it. I just feel like, at this point, they dragged out the story as much as they can and I am officially done. The ending was shit, some parts were confusing as hell, and half the time, I felt like Ronan and Adam's relationship became forced. So there you go. Bad book. Only the first book was better in the series and that's it.

Noahh...*cries* I love them sm it hurts!!!

maggie por qué no me dejas de arruinar la vida

4.5 stars goddamn miss stiefvater knows how to conclude a series.

this series was absolutely fucking amazing. i adore all of these characters and cannot wait to read the dreamer’s trilogy. i did struggle through the first half of this book but methinks that was a reflection of my life situation. while i was full on expecting gansey to die die, i’m very happy that he didn’t. and i fucking love noah and feel so sad for him because he has to relive this over and over again. i loved all of these characters so much and i will be so sad after reading the next books because then what? i will exist in a void that’s what.

** spoiler alert ** i will be brief. i love love maggie's writing style and the way she has prose slipped into her writing. she's also really good at descriptions and i'm a little obsessed with the repetitions throughout this book, the creative writing student in me wants to analyse her writing so bad.. anyways, i had a lot of thoughts while reading this book: 1. Neeve was the real villain of this book. she brought the demon to life only to get killed by it, which is pretty funny if you think about it. 2. (wrote this in my notes while reading) if anything bad happens to gansey i'll kill someone then myself jk kinda please i'll never read another book again if he dies 3. the emotions n description in the part where he sacrifices himself was really well-written tbh except i still don't quite understand how cabeswater managed to bring him back to life? so happy he's not dead though my sweet gansey glendower wants what you have! 4. why couldn't cabeswater save persephone too why why why 5. i am still extremely confused about what exactly noah did towards the end? he was the one who made gansey live again after he died the first time??? i really don't get it 6. and if glendower was dead all along, did noah know? understandable if gwenllian didn't know because she was in a whole different place but surely artemus would have known so why didn't that freak mention anything.. 7. not blue finding out she's a tree light, dreaming about it for one night and then never talking about it again 8. henry is obsessed with gansey understandably so 9. bluesey so cute 10. seeing adam happy for a change is very nice.. hate that the first time they're addressed as boyfriends it came from the mouth of robert parrish but we move 11. ronan.. my sweet angel sunshine ronan who is secretly a softie and creates forests and ravens and a weird horse/girl hybrid with his dreams.. you are so cool and perfect and i am obsessed with you. this was a good book, but it raised questions for me that didn't quite get answered at the end. some parts felt more like it was setting up for another book instead of wrapping up a series? a lot of new information was introduced (seondeok, the louimineers dudes) that didn't seem too neccessary to the story? like, they could have been mentioned briefly i just didn't see the point in having whole chapters dedicated to them. initially i thought she was setting stuff up for the dreamer trilogy and i kind of expected to see them in the fairy market but they weren't there so i'm confused about their role in this book other than being the cause of mr. gray having his 𝖎 𝖜𝖎𝖑𝖑 𝖕𝖗𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖈𝖙 𝖞𝖔𝖚 moment to save maura/blue. other than that i really enjoyed this series tbh, the plot and characters were so interesting and had me hooked from the start. love u forever ronanseybluedam

Man. What a SERIES. I have read the BEST SERIES this year, my goodness! This was a marvelous ending. Honestly, I can't tell if I'm a little bummed it didn't end how I imagined OR if I love it even more BECAUSE it didn't end how I imagined. I'm unsure. All I know is I'm obsessed with these characters; truly in-love with every single one of them. Thank God we get more books in this world or I'd truly be even more heartbroken than I already am. So so glad I picked this up. A new favorite for sure!

** spoiler alert ** I feel kind of disappointed by this book even though it wasn’t a bad book at all. Book 3 was just way better in my opinion. Anyway, I’m really glad that Gansey didn’t die!

i cried so much at the end 😭 my family <3

My brain chemistry has been changed. I love them. I will never recover from this series, I loved it. Had it's flaws, (quite a few), but my God to the characters make up for everything. I LOVE THEM 😭

me va a dejar un vacío por mucho tiempo. voy a extrañar por siempre a mis chicos cuervos.

I can't choose the right words to describe what I'm feeling when I finished the series. Will probably edit this review. I just need to collect my thoughts.

He was a king. This was the year he was going to die. I really like how the story finished; each of the characters grew and strengthened each other along the way till they found their own path, with Blue, Gansey, and their latest recruit, Henry, go for a road trip, Adam attends college, and Ronan settles in the Barns. However, I believe there is still something lacking in the finale; Noah's narrative is a vital foundation that is intimately tied to the Gansey story, as it lead him to meet Blue, Ronan, and Adam, yet Noah was not mentioned at all in the epilogue :(. Also, Blue's father, Artemus, is a tree(?), which was strange for some reason, especially since it appeared out of nowhere.

this was so beautifully written it made my heart ache in a good way?? idk, only maggie could do it. i'm gonna miss blue sargent and her raven boys so much.

Unacceptable.
Highlights

“Jesus,” Gansey breathed out loud. He was a book, and he was holding his final pages, and he wanted to get to the end to find out how it went, and he didn’t want it to be over.
you and me, gansey boy

There was something quite comforting about the fond and familiar murmur of their voices, and Gansey felt that uncanny tugging of time again. That he had lived this moment before, or would live it in the future. Of wanting and having, both the same. He was startled to realize that he longed to be done with the quest for Glendower. He wanted the rest of his life. Until this night, he hadn’t really thought that he believed that there was anything more to his life.

And really, was it paranoia when you weren’t necessarily wrong?
Caution. That was what it was called when people really were out to kill you. He’d learned caution, not paranoia.

True love is a construct. Was Artemus your true love? Is Mr. Gray? Does that make the other one not true? Is there just one shot and then it’s over?”

"Why do we breathe air? Because we love air? Because we don't want to suffocate. Why do we eat? Because we dont want to starve. How do I know I loe her? Because I can sleep after I talk to her. Why?"
