"You're just...you're just Seth." A tremor moved through his arms. "And you...you're just my salvation.” Woah, I am mind blown. Utterly stunned. Shocked into silence. This was one hell of a come back, Sethie I am so, so glad to be back in this world. Give Book Two. Now

She writes really steamy scenes, wow!

Why did I wait so long to start this series?!? Full review to follow soon.

It was a typical Jennifer L. Armentrout book again :) So as expected it was really good (and a lil smut within). I loved that this was literally the first book where the characters (particularly Seth - who has my whole heart btw) really talked like young adults. I LOVED the language. Honestly.

“When I’m with you, I don’t feel like a monster. I forget. I forget all the things I’ve done that make me not deserve this.” Stars: 3/5 Characters: 3.5/5 Setting: 4/5 Plot: 4/5 Pros: New adult, romance, action, greek gods, Seth's redemption book, helped with unresolved plot problems in Covenant Cons: My least favorite book in the Titan series, not much happens and I didn't like how Seth acts in these book.

”The Titans” trilogy by Jennifer L. Armentrout strongly impressed me. It made me even more curious about the ancient Greek mythology and its deep stories. I think that you should be extremely original and have various and out of ordinary abilities for succeeding in bringing the Greek mythology, a very special taboo subject, in the 21 century. Jennifer did successfully mix the teenage crazy romance and a new and more modern side of the mythological gods and creatures. I don’t have any objections, so I must congrats her from the top of my soul which fell in love with Seth too, with the lovely descriptions from the books, Seth and Josie’s love and apparently impossible at the first sight love story. I really appreciated that the author showed us Seth’s opinion about the action. My heart was on the floor when they were in pain, when Josie thought about death for the first time because she was thinking that…he would not arrive on time to her…just pain. Alex, at first was a kind of competition for Josie because of the history she and Seth have together but…they will become best friends. Poor Seth will take on him the guilt of what happened to his lover. He thinks about himself that he doesn’t deserve much, but wars and pain. Well, he is so so wrong. Maybe he deserves the world, or better said, his world…Josie. He is even luckier to have her by his side in the battle of destiny that will come very soon. I’ll tell you about a personal event that put the things that I have learned from these books in the light spot. I was in one of my classes and our teacher started asking us if we have any idea about what the sirens and the hydras are. Then…I couldn’t stop myself. I stood from the chair and I started explaining about the sirens and their lovely songs which attract the sailors to drowning, being kept unconscious by the sirens’ beauty, and about the hydras- the ones who were punishing the gods who had hardly mistaken, creatures who were as beautiful and tempting as dangerous and mortal. So I used the information from a science-fiction book series, about which many people could say that would be useful in the real life.

As always an amazing book by JLA. I was soo excited to see familiar faces in this book, Marcus, Solos, Deacon, Luke. I love that we finally get to know Seth for whom he really is and I loved him and Josie. I really liked thesummary of the books they gave in this book and I´m hoping we´ll get to see Alex and Aiden at some point in the series and that Josie gets to meet them. I´m so glad we still get to live this amazing world she created with Half Blood. Can´t wait till the next one comes out!

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads . I'm nearly at a loss for words for what to say about The Return. I've read it twice since last summer. I loved it just as much – if not more – the second time around. My biggest takeaways from The Return are these: Seth is everything and Jen is a genius. Confession time: I've never read JLA's entire Covenant series. I started it a couple years ago. I really enjoyed it. But, sometime during the wait for release of the new novels, I stopped reading. I can't say I lost interest, but other shiny things definitely caught my attention and put this series on the back burner. (I've probably said a couple times here that I suck at series. This is a perfect example.) Of course, I have every intention of going back and reading the Covenant series from the beginning, but I didn't get it done before reading The Return. And, you know what? It didn't matter a bit. Jen weaves in just enough back story details that I never once felt lost while reading this. I remember enough of the Covenant books to know that Seth wasn't always a character I could see myself rooting for. He's flawed. He's complex. But, oh-my-gods, he's amazing. Even having never read the entire previous series, I was excited for his story and the start of the Titan series. (I mean, HELLO, a new JLA series... and new adult paranormal romance? SIGN ME UP.) I truly had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I imaged it would be wonderful. It was that, and more. I won't dive far into the plot because I don't want to ruin this story for you. What I will tell you is that this book has Jen's trademark wit and characters you can't help but love. Seth and Josie are fantastic together. Jen's couples always have the best freaking banter and these two are no exception. There's oodles of sexual tension and a couple scenes that just made me melt. *sigh* There's so much more than romance in this book though. I love the mythology and the drama that goes along with it. There's plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seat. Both times I read this book, I couldn't walk away until I made it to the last page. Yes, even the second time, when I knew what would happen. Oh, and if you're worried about cliffhangers, you won't find one. Of course, the wait for the second book will still be painful, regardless. I can't wait to get another glimpse of this world and these characters. The Return was just flat-out fantastic. It was one of my favorite books of 2014. It made me want to go back and reread (and finish) the Covenant series. (I bought *ALL* of the paperbacks. Even the novellas.) As soon as I can carve out some time, I have every intention of reading them. Then I'll probably read The Return again... just because it was that good. If this book wasn't on your radar already, it really should be. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I love love love love loved this book. Seth is everything.

Porque el chico malo merecía su propia historia.

Ha ha. So... This book was about Seth and Josie acknowledging they're into each other, yes? Seems legit to me. Detailed review soon.

Originally posted at Booklovers For Life First off, I have to say that I am SO happy Seth gets his own series. Not only because I love Seth, but also because the Covenant world is one of my favorites. I adored the Covenant series, so the fact that I don’t really have to say goodbye to it is just the best. The Return kicks off the Titan series, beginning a year after the ending of the Covenant series. You don’t necessarily need to read that series before starting The Return, but I highly recommend it. Alex and Aiden’s story is incredible, Seth is first introduced there, and you won’t be as lost in the world in The Return if you’re familiar with the Covenant series. Seth, the Apollyon, is pretty much owned by the gods. He made a deal with them for someone he cared about, and in return, he’d be at the gods’ bidding. He has a new mission now, when Apollo sends him to protect the life of a demigod – the child of a god and mortal. But Josie’s innocence, strength, and beauty surprises him and he finds himself drawn to her in a way he’s never truly felt for anyone. Josie Bethel’s life is turned completely inside-out and upside-down when she finds out she’s not exactly human. As a demigod, she has incredible power, but it’s bound until the moment it’s needed the most. I loved Josie. She’s thrust into a dangerous world where she has no ability to protect herself other than Seth, but she learns to fight. She has an inner strength I found admirable, but honestly, I just loved her heart and her little quirks. She’s also funny too, and not immune to Seth’s charms. The chemistry between them is HOT, and I freaking love that this series is New Adult, because we get plenty of sexy times between Josie and Seth. “I cannot even begin to count how many lives I’ve ended with these hands. These hands, Josie.” Lifting them, I curved them over her knees. “The ones you want touching you.” Seth has changed considerably in the year since the war. He’s guilty and remorseful about what he did in the past and has been trying to right his wrongs, trying to take responsibility, all the while feeling like he deserves every punishment he gets and doesn’t deserve anything good in his life anymore. I felt for Seth so much. I LOVED that we get his POV in addition to Josie’s in The Return – I connected with him so much better this way, and plus, he has some fantastically naughty thoughts that I found hilarious. His perspective gives a lot of insight to who he is and how he feels, and the fact that he’s been trying to do some good makes him, well, good in my eyes. And his growing feelings for Josie only makes him all the more lovable. “Say it again. … Say that I’m not just the Apollyon,” he whispered, his voice harsh. Tears built in my throat. “You’re not just the Apollyon, Seth.” His eyes drifted shut, his face tensed as his fingers splayed across my cheeks. “I don’t even know who I am anymore. Or what I ever was.” Oh goodness, that ripped right through my chest. “You’re just… you’re just Seth.” A tremor moved through his arms. “And you… you’re just my salvation.” There’s not too much action going on in The Return, but for a first book in a series, it’s an incredible start with lots of potential to become even better. There are some similarities between Alex and Aiden and Josie and Seth – Seth even mentions how it’s almost like history repeating itself. Nonetheless, I absolutely adored this new couple. It’s possible I might even grow to love them and the Titan series even more than the Covenant series, but who knows. I can’t wait to see what JLA has in store for Seth and Josie!
