Liked how this one focused on one plot and stuck to it. The first one was a bit to all over the show for me!

Well, this was a much better read than the first was! Rather than have a bunch of random things clumped together that happened in Peru, this had a single solid plot line and it was rather entertaining! I even laughed aloud several times at Magnus's crazy antics! An enjoyable light read - I think I'll definitely be reading the others too!

well i'd give the content 3 stars (or 3.5, something like that) buuut it gets bonus points because it is read by george blagden

I love Magnus, but I don’t think I’m liking the stories... is it because they’re not written by only Cassie? This one was hardly funny or sassy...

Magnus is asked to help rescue the royal family during the French Revolution… and then from vampires… and then there is this hot air balloon. Basically, it gets really blown up and the things that happened would only happen to Magnus. I love learning more about Magnus’ past though. It explains a lot more of his personality and why he does the things that he does. He is probably the best character that Clare has wrote honestly. :D
