Great book to get insight into Warren Buffett's life and business thinking. The book is very well-written, which keeps it engaging regardless of the hundreds and hundreds of pages you have to go through (was it 600+ pages?).

Deeply informative book about one of the 20th century's best investors.

For me, it made it super clear that I would never want to be the kind of investor he is. It was a very helpful investigation into classical investing in order to make money, which bores me to tears, and now that could not be more clear.

Given it's an authorized biography, it was interesting to come away with basically no respect for him personally. He doesn't seem like a bad person, but he also doesn't seem like a good person - like he was put here to make money, and if he makes enough of it, avoiding everything else in life doesn't really matter. The number of times he was just incredibly, willfully, unapologetically rude to someone was amazing.

Yes, I know that he's giving away most of his money, but that's strategic-good, not personal-good, like Bill Gates.

A great and detailed book on the life of one of the greatest investors of our time. Everyone will often talk about what Buffett is investing in and how to copy his style of inestment. But what I truly value is the personal story which helped shape his life. His relationships with the people around him both good and bad. The people he mentored under and those he chose to be in his close circle of influence. His story is a great example how consistent effort over a long period of time builds tremondous results!
