I've bought the books because I heard one of my favorite director is planing to shoot a movie based on this book. Book clearly has a vibe of movie but it doesn't say anything new or original. It's a page turner because of you want to know how it'll end, just that. I am unimpressed by both writing and story itself.

Never read any other Nesbø, but this was a really great beach read. Engaging, quick pace, and lots of twists. Pretty standard детектив but enjoyable.

I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I often go back and forth on whether or not I actually enjoy this sub category of crime fiction and I was more than a little turned off by the large page number. Once I actually began reading this book I was immediately drawn into the plot, and accepted every crazy twist with a nod and a page flip. I guess I am almost speechless, as I don't even really have a thing to say other than I enjoyed this and I need to read more (stand-alones probably) from this author.

In my opinion this is the best book from Jo Nesbo. He is the master of mystery and dynamic story line. Characters have the most catching background, they fit the plot perfectly and everything has it’s special place. If you love some good mystery, which is not that scary yet still catchy, you should definitely check this book out.

4.5 stars, rounded up. Daaaaaamn this was a page-turner. If I were more motivated at reading right now, I would've finished it in a couple days for sure. There were a lot of moving parts to the plot and lots of men's names to remember which was somewhat tough, but it wasn't super hard to follow. The translation was very well-written as well. I really, really enjoyed this one!
